Las Leñas Valley Ski Center

Las Leñas is a transversal valley located within the mountain range at an altitude of 2,250 m (7,380 ft). The closest city, Malargue, is 70 km (44 mi) away, and the border of Chile is 26 km (16mi) away. From here it is possible to see the Torrecilla, Ponce, El Collar, and Los Fósiles mountains that surround the ski region.
This center's modern establishments have made this the most complete ski resort in South America and one of the most significant in the world. Horseback riding, mountain climbing, and hiking are just a few of the many diverse activities that you can enjoy while exploring the region. One of the main destinations is Valle Hermoso (Beautiful Valley), which boasts a lovely lagoon where one can go kayaking or windsurfing. There are also trips you can take to a part of the valley with indigenous petroglyphs and the Larga Lagoon, a sector rich in high mountain birdlife.
