What is the national anthem of Argentina?
The name of the Argentine national anthem is "Marcha de la Patria", ""March of the Fatherland""
Wrong. The name of the Argentine national anthem is (in Spanish) "HIMNO NACIONAL ARGENTINO" (rough English translation: ARGENTINE NATIONAL ANTHEM) it was written by:
Vicente Lopez y Planes (lyrics) and Blas Parera (music) in 1813.
Originally the Asamblea Constituyente named it "Marcha Patriotica" and later "Cancion Patriotica Nacional", however it took its current name in 1847 when it was printed as Himno Nacional Argentino.
